SNOWED BY AN INCONVENIENT ALGORERYTHYM

Every time I wash my car it rains!
Every time Al Gore says "Global Warming" it gets colder.
It is an inconvenient truth.

See if you can guess what this is:
dot dot--dot-----dot--------dot-dot-dooooooooooot-d-o-t-
Its an example of an Al Gore Rhythm.

Timing is everything in a real good propaganda campaign and Al just can't catch a break. It is colder and more snowy this Christmas Day in the Pacific Northwest than it has ever been in written records! We have some 20 inches of snow here in the West Hills of Portland.

I have been an environmentalist since before I knew how to spell it. I never throw away usable items. I do not buy a new car every 3 years. I plan where I am going before I leave to save gas. When I am down on my knees praying for better times I also look under the bed for dust bunnies and lost socks. I save energy everywhere I can.

I guess you could say I'm lazy with an understanding of the great benefit to mother nature for being so. It is an attitude developed by being the son of South Dakota farm folks who lived through the Great Depression. I just naturally got a good working knowledge of such things. Grandma always made her own ketchup and canned everything from the garden for winter. I do what I can.

Now I've learned that the Earth has about 186 billion tons of CO2 rising from it's surface every year according to guys who sit around getting paid to know these things. They figure about 90 billion comes from biological activity and another 90 billion from plant decay and volcanic action leaving about 6 billion say 3% from human beings.

Al Gore has done a wonderful job of making us aware of how we could be smarter at how we go about living our lives. But, what about the potential downside of doing it through first class lying?

We needed to be made aware of how every plant and animal on this planet is interactive with one another. George Harrison reminded us that "The time would come when we see we're all one and life flows on within in you and with out you".
The thing I am scared of is what happens when we all get just barely educated enough by Al Gore's propaganda to start doing a better job at being good humans then learning Al has exaggerated the points of inconvenient truth way out of proportion.

I think the truth alone is very convenient enough. We no longer throw our trash out our car windows like we did here in Oregon when I was young. How come do you think? It dawned on us it was stupid. Since we all live here together why not practise a little common sense and stewardship?

Below is some strategy Al Gore has developed so he can start his energy credit business and I suppose an alternate business during winter time selling indulgences when it is kind of hard to sell "global warming". Interview lines from a guy at Grist magazine and Al Gore.

"I think the answer to that depends on where your audience's head is. In the United States of America, unfortunately we still live in a bubble of unreality. And the Category 5 denial is an enormous obstacle to any discussion of solutions. Nobody is interested in solutions if they don't think there's a problem. Given that starting point, I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are, and how hopeful it is that we are going to solve this crisis.
Over time that mix will change. As the country comes to more accept the reality of the crisis, there's going to be much more receptivity to a full-blown discussion of the solutions."

Here is another guy who thinks lying might work better than offering a convenient truth.

"We have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we may have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest."
Stephen Schneider (leading advocate of the global warming theory)(in interview for Discover magazine, Oct 1989)

Here is a guy that agrees with me. Why lie when the truth about this stuff ought to do.

"In the long run, the replacement of the precise and disciplined language of science by the misleading language of litigation and advocacy may be one of the more important sources of damage to society incurred in the current debate over global warming."
Dr. Richard S. Lindzen(leading climate and atmospheric science expert- MIT) (3)

I am all for planting more trees. Taking better care of our planet. Using to the fullest the products we produce. Make the highest use from God given natural resources.
Shame on me, when I was young for selling parts of Redwood trees to make decks and siding . The Japanese and Chinese make wonderful little figures and musical instruments and things with Redwood and get high dollars for them too. All these common sense truths would also conveniently help lower that 3% of the carbon dioxide we add to the worlds CO2 totals.

Of course don't expect this effort to change the tilt of the Earth to the Sun or make Mars and Venus' poles quit melting as the universe makes its little shifts in it's celestial path.

Above all, remember to use the tools God gave us all. Common sense and an innate knowledge of what is right comes natural when you take to looking inward.

Write to Barrack Obama and be sure that governemnt applies the truth for a "change".
